Processing your order
When you order a MrGift from us, we need some personal data to serve you and process your order. This is your name, (email) address and phone number. For this we use a web developer, a hosting provider and delivery channels such as WhatsApp. They have access to the personal data you share with us when placing your order. That is why we set high standards for their security. We make agreements with them about the personal data we share. Because we work with MrGift gift cards that are loaded with a certain balance, we find it helpful for both parties if we can reach you quickly in case of questions. That is why we ask for a phone number.
Customer service
If you contact our customer service, we process the personal data contained in your email.
WhatsApp & email newsletters
We store your phone number and email address to send you messages. As a consumer, you only receive messages if you have given your explicit consent. We send our business customers messages with offers and information about new products a few times a year. We do this for direct marketing purposes as described in the GDPR (47). In doing so, we always carry out the balancing of interests required by this regulation.
Retention
The personal data we process for delivery remains on our digital systems for one year by default. Two weeks after the order, the order information is stored exclusively in a database with a stricter security regime. We keep email correspondence with our customer service for six months.
Security
We protect this information both digitally and physically. Your order and contact with us take place over a secure connection. Together with our hosting provider and web administrator, monitoring the security of our websites and your data is a daily part of our work. In the event of a data breach, we will follow all appropriate procedures. We have set these out in an internal security protocol.
Cookies
On our website we use functional, analytical and so-called marketing cookies. Cookies are small files stored on your hard drive that contain information about your browsing behaviour. This lets us see which browser you use and display the website optimally. We also place a functional cookie to keep track of the products in your shopping basket. We further use analytical cookies that record traffic on our website. This also shows us whether you are a returning visitor. In this way we can improve the website and our service. We ask for your consent to place analytical and marketing cookies through the cookie management centre. The marketing cookie is ticked by default. Right to be forgotten
You can always request deletion, correction or access to your data. We will comply with this in all cases, unless a legal provision prevents it. If you have specific questions about our privacy policy, please contact our customer service and ask for the privacy officer.

Your personal data is shared with third parties in anonymised and encrypted form so that advertising measurements can be carried out on behalf of MrGift B.V. Where required by law, we will always ask for consent to share or use this data.

Under privacy law, you also have the right to file a complaint about this processing of personal data with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
